Adaptation and Mitigation System for Buildings Owned by the Region

The activity will be completed Phase 2 of the project

Partners involved in the activity: Moravian-Silesian Energy Centre

The aim is to reduce the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions of regional buildings. This activity is followed by the Pilot Adaptation of Buildings and is directly based on the Moravian-Silesian Adaptation Strategy of the Region for the Impacts of Climate Change and its goal of linking technical solutions (insulation, energy-saving technologies) with nature-friendly measures (green façades, roofs, shading elements). The activity also includes an ambitious commitment for buildings owned by the Moravian-Silesian Region to reduce emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to 2020.

In Phase 1 of the project, 1,300 regional buildings were mapped and divided into groups according to their use (education, health, culture, social services, transport, etc.). From these, 100 buildings were selected for a detailed energy performance analysis.

In Phase 2 of the project, the twenty most suitable buildings will be selected for the implementation of energy saving measures, with an emphasis on their diversity and the selected measures. At the same time, a system for monitoring the energy performance of buildings and a plan for their further modernisation will be developed.

The outputs and results of the activity will be presented here and also as examples of good practice on the MiSe Klima information portal.
