Methodological and Analytical Preparation
Work on the activity commenced in Phase 1 of the project and should be completed by the end of 2026
Partners involved in the activity: Moravian-Silesian Investment and Development, the Moravian-Silesian Region and the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic
For the successful implementation of the Moravian-Silesian Adaptation Strategy of the Region for the Impacts of Climate Change, it is crucial to improve the expert documentation, unify the methodological approaches and thoroughly verify the proposed measures with the responsible entities.
Currently, the Czech Republic lacks an official methodology for implementing adaptation strategies and clear rules for mapping and defining blue-green infrastructure.
The results of this project will help to bridge this gap and can serve as an inspiration and example of good practice for other regions in the Czech Republic and Europe. The activity draws on the experience of completed and ongoing projects that focus on adaptation to climate change. The results of the project will be presented at a minimum of four professional seminars in various regions around the Czech Republic. We will keep you informed about the dates and progress of the work on this website and on the MiSe Klima portal.
The outcomes of the activity will include:
- Methodology for the implementation of adaptation measures at the local level
- Principles for the construction of blue-green infrastructure in the Moravian-Silesian Region (Comprehensive Study of Blue-Green Infrastructure)
This methodological support will help not only the Moravian-Silesian Region, but also other regions that want to effectively prepare for climate challenges.
