Review of Economic Instruments of the Moravian-Silesian Region
Work on the activity will be ongoing throughout the duration of the project
Partners involved in the activity: Moravian-Silesian Region and Moravian-Silesian Investment and Development
The activity, which is directly based on the Moravian-Silesian Adaptation Strategy of the Region for the Impacts of Climate Change, supports the implementation of adaptation measures. During the course of the project, the existing system of stimulating economic instruments (especially subsidy programmes) in the Moravian-Silesian Region will be revised. The aim of the project is to find further opportunities for financing adaptation measures from national and European programmes.
Objectives of the activity:
- elaboration of the methodology for the review of the region's subsidy programmes,
- optimisation of regional subsidy programmes,
- evaluation of the success of subsidy programmes to support adaptation measures,
- improving awareness of the changes and promotion of the new challenges,
- preparation of three projects for funding from Community programmes.
The successful implementation of the Moravian-Silesian Region's adaptation strategy can also be supported by properly set conditions for drawing subsidies. Appropriately designed economic instruments can help increase their effectiveness and can also remove administrative barriers.
